Roofing across Miami-Dade — barrel tile, standing seam metal and flat low-slope systems, permitted and inspected the way Miami-Dade requires. Free roof assessment before you commit to anything.
Get a Free QuoteRJ Walsh Construction is a Miami roofing contractor working across Miami-Dade on the three systems that actually matter down here: barrel and flat tile, standing seam and panel metal, and flat low-slope roofing on the additions and Florida rooms nearly every house has. South Florida is the hardest roofing market in the country — UV all year, driving rain, salt air near the coast, and a code written after Andrew that treats a roof as a structural system rather than a covering. That is why the product approval, the fastener schedule, the underlayment and the inspection sign-off matter as much as the tile you can see from the street. Customers have written about Rick's direct communication and about him being hands-on from beginning to end.
Barrel and flat concrete tile — the South Florida standard. Tear-off, deck inspection, new underlayment and product-approved tile installed to Miami-Dade requirements.
Standing seam and panel metal, sized and fastened for Florida wind loads. Customers have specifically written about the metal roofs we have put on.
Modified bitumen and low-slope systems for additions, Florida rooms and flat sections — the part of the roof that fails first and gets ignored longest.
Finding where water is actually entering rather than where it appears on your ceiling. Repairs where a repair is honest, replacement where it is not.
Wind-lifted tile, missing ridge, blown flashing. We document the damage with photographs before anything is replaced, which is what an insurer will ask for.

I chose RJ Walsh Construction after seeing my neighbor's roof which looked great. I interviewed many roofers and went with RJ because of his down to earth direct communication and information. He did a great job on my metal roof and I would recommend him to anyone.
Have used Rick on many small and large jobs. Always professional and quality.
Rick is very professional and does excellent roofing work.
It depends on the structure, the slope and how long you intend to keep the house. Concrete tile is the South Florida default and lasts decades. Metal costs more up front, weighs less and performs extremely well in wind. Flat sections are not a choice — they are dictated by the slope. We will tell you what your roof will actually take.
Roofing in Miami-Dade is permitted and inspected, and it should never be done any other way. The products have to carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance, the fasteners have to match the approval, and there is an inspection before the covering goes on. Anyone offering to skip that is offering you a problem at resale and at claim time.
Sometimes, and we will say so. If the underlayment is at the end of its life a repair only buys you a season and you have paid twice. The assessment tells you which situation you are in before you spend anything.
Most single-family tile re-roofs run one to two weeks depending on size, tear-off and the inspection schedule. Weather and the county move the dates, and we will tell you when they do.
Photograph everything before anything is touched or covered, then call. Documentation before repair is what decides how an insurance claim goes.
The business is a general construction company with roofing as the core. Ask about the rest of the scope when you call.
